Sleeping peacefully

Here is one of my most recent pictures. Don't I look peaceful.

I am a very mellow baby and I am being very nice to Mommy and Daddy. I look forward to meeting everyone.

Updated pictures

Well, as we have written Andrew is now home. However, it has taken us a awhile to update his pictures. I am going to put new pictures on his site and it may be that I repeat some so I apologize, but please check out his pictures and we will keep them coming. He is doing well, gaining weight, and sleeping like a new born should. We are busy looking for day care so when I am ready to go back to work he has a place to go, but other than that I am just enjoying being a Mom to two wonderful children. We will update frequently.

Update

Hello All

Well, I know we have been a little slack updating this website, but it is not the easiest thing with two children one being a new baby. However, I will write a quick update while Andrew is still sleeping (at least I hope he is) and we will come back later and add more pictures.

I was discharged home from the hospital last Tuesday. I am doing well, although I am still in a little bit of pain and discomfort. We went back and forth to the hospital for three more days before Andrew was released on Friday. He is doing well, sleeping in about 3 hours spurts and eating pretty good, at least I think he is. We go back to the Pediatrician tomorrow for a weight check and his first appointment. We will see whether he is doing as well as we think.

Jared is being a great big brother- he loves holding "his baby" and is constantly checking on him as he cries. Gammy and Papa are here and helping out a lot. They have been keeping Jared very busy which has been very nice. Jared is starting to think it is Hanukah, because he has gotten some very nice Big Brother gifts, so those are also keeping him entertained.

It has definetly been a stressful week, because in addition to the baby, Michael had a kidney stone removed, which the Doctor indicated was his "little baby." So we are both limping around and would not have survived had it not been for Gammy, but we will all start healing soon and enjoying our newest addition to our family.

I do not have the camera up here now, but we will add pictures soon. Please keep checking back and we will do our best to update this site and post new information.

We hope everyone is doing well and please do not be offended if we do not respond to all the e-mails right away.

Take care
Jodi, Michael, Jared, and Andrew

WOW!!! What a surprise.

Hi all. Well, I never thought I would be doing this so soon. Jodi and I were expecting to be doing this in about 5 weeks.

At 12:33am this morning (Saturday, September 13, 2008), Jodi, Jared, Jordan (the dog) and I welcomed ANDREW LOGAN to our family. Due to arrive around October 19, Andrew decided he was ready to make his debut a little early. He weighed 4lbs. 14 oz. and was 18.5 inches long.

Jodi is doing fantastic for being only 16 hours post delivery. Because Andrew was about 5 weeks early, it is going to take him some time to be perfectly healthy and ready to go home. When he was first born, his breathing was a little fast and his blood sigar a little low. Now (16 hours old), his breathing is at normal levels and his blood sugar is perfect. He will have to show that he is able to gain weight, maintain his body temperature and other functions of full-term babies. He will be in the hospital for at least 5 days (waiting for some lab and blood cultures to come back). We have been told that he may stay in the hospital until his actual due date but that is certainly not definite. As soon as he can show that he is healthy enough to fully function on his own, we will take him home with us.

We hope everyone checks back here often for updates and we look forward to everyone being able to meet Andrew real soon.
