Bris

Well, the Bris is finally here, to be honest, I was not really looking forward to it, although I did not know really what to expect. We held it at Synagogue Emanu-El and it was catered by Marci Rosenberg. Rabbi Asa came in from Atlanta to perform the ceremony. Honors were given to Nana, Gammy, Bubbe, Papa, and Grandpa. It was nice to have the family around to provide support.

Mommy and Daddy gave a little speech welcoming everyone and explaining how I got my name. As everyone knows by now, I was five weeks early. Mommy and Daddy had a girls name, but not a boys name. Daddy looked at Mommy on the way to the hospital (a 5 minute drive) and said what about Andrew Logan. So thus, that is how I got my English name. Upon further research it was found out that Andrew means Strong. I have proven in more ways than one that I have lived up this meaning. I was determined to come out early, I left the hospital earlier than anyone expected, and I am gaining weight like a champ. Therefore, my hebrew Name- Ooziel also means strong. My middle name Yonaton means Gift. I am Mommy and Daddy's gift in this lovely thing we call Life. I am a shining light as everyone navigates through the ups and downs of daily living.

Thanks to everyone who was there to celebrate both in person and in spirit. Enjoy my pictures. I am sorry if they did not post very well. I hope everyone is doing well.

Family Gathering

Well, time is just flying by, I am almost 7 weeks old and I am growing by leaps and bounds. I now weigh 8 lbs 2 oz, and the Doctor says I am the picture of good health. I am still sleeping a lot, but I am starting to wake up more. My brother is great and still loves on me every day. He has not gotten tired of me being around. I am so looking forward to growing up with him.

We finally had my bris this past weekend and the whole family came in. Seth, Shannon and Hayden flew in from Seattle, Tadd came from Atlanta and Aunt Jenna even flew in on the day of the bris to turn around and drive back that afternoon. Of course, Gammy and Papa came from Florida and Bubbe and Grandpa from Savannah as well as various Aunts, Uncles, and cousins from both Savannah and Charleston. One of the best visitors was Nana who thanks to Great Uncle Stanley was able to be here and celebrate as well. As overwhelming as things were I think she had a great time meeting me.

Everyone was here for the weekend and we were out and about through town. We went to the South Carolina Aquarium, to Party Kingdom, and out to lunch. As well as had everyone come to our house for dinner and to watch the UGA vs LSU game. GOOO DAWGS!!!!

Here are pictures from the first part of the weekend, Mommy only included ones with me in it here, to see more pictures from the weekend with Jared, make sure to check out his website in the next few days.

Take care

Hello All

Well, Mommy wanted to sit down and write a quick update about what has been going on. Although, I am not being very cooperative right now and mommy is trying to do this while holding me. I was weighed today and now weigh about 6lbs 8 oz. Everyone is very impressed by how quickly I am growing.

I have been on the go and moving all the time. We just went to Savannah for Yom Kippur. It was nice to be away and see Bubbe and Grandpa again. I also got to meet some of their friends at the Breakfast.

Jared is doing well and is working very hard to protect me and make sure I am safe. I hope everyone is doing well.

Take care

New Update

Hello All!

Things have been going well the past few weeks, I am growing, starting to stay awake a little more, and beginning to play on my new toys. My big brother Jared is trying hard to protect me and keep me safe. He also wants to play with me and make sure that I know just the right things to do.

We watched the Georgia vs Alabama game and unfortunately it was not a good outcome, but we are hoping for a win next week against Tennessee. I have a Georgia outfit but it is still a little big. Check out my picture with Jared though, we are ready to cheer for the "Go Dawgs."

Bubbe and Grandpa also came to visit recently. It was nice seeing them again, seeing last time I saw them I was still in my box. We are also going to take our first trip to Savannah for Yom Kippur so that will be fun too.

I hope everyone is having a good start to the New Year. L'shana Tova. Keeping checking back for updates.
