The weekend of December 19 was my first big road trip. We went to Atlanta for my cousin Louis Bar Mitzvah. His Mommy, Staci, and my Mommy are first cousins, so I am not sure what that makes us, but it was a great time to start meeting my extended family. We drove and I did "ok" in the car. I lasted for about the first 4 hours and slept. We stopped and I ate, but the last two hours of the trip were another story. I cried for the better part of 75 N on the way to Atlanta, I think I had reached my limit for riding in the car.
We did not take a ton of pictures from the weekend, but we saw everyone- Uncle Seth and Aunt Shannon came from Seattle, along with Hayden. Tadd and Jenna came to brunch on Sunday, Tadd was at services on Saturday also, he got extra points because he was the only Schreiber on time for the aliyah. The party was a lot of fun, I danced and watched everyone partying and having a great time. I was well behaved for the weekend and it was so much fun seeing everyone.
We can't forget to mention Nana here, who had all 10 great grandchildren present. At 90 years old, she is an amazing woman who was able to keep up with everyone and so enjoyed watching what was going on. She is so proud of Louis and of course all of us as well. Some of the pictures did not come out great but I want to include the ones that have everyone. We do not want to forget any family members.
The ride home from Atlanta went about as well as the ride there. The last two hours were not fun, by the time we got home. I was pooped in every sense of the word. Maybe if Mommy and Daddy had made one more stop, I would have enjoyed the ride home a little better. Oh Well, lessons learned.
Mazel Tov Louis, I can't wait to see everyone again soon.
