Oh Chanukah, Oh Chanukah come light the Menorah, let's have a party, we'll all dance the Hora...It is now time for my first Chanukah, and I have to say that although I watched with interest in what was going on, I can't say I was extremely impressed. Daddy and I put towels on our head in lieu of Yarmulkes and Jared lit the candles and said a bunch of words I did not understand. He tried to explain to me that we celebrate Hanukah because the Jewish People fought with the "Gricks." I watched as Jared opened his presents and I also received some books, a See and Say and a Fisher Price Ball toy. Jared had such a good time showing me what the balls do and I really like watching the toy light up and sing to me. I was very mesmorized by that. I also put on "My First Chanukah" outfit. It was mainly for pictures because it was about 65 degrees outside, but we could not go through the holiday without wearing it. Bubbe and Grandpa also came up for one night and we had a big feast. It was a fun to see them. I did enjoy listening to all the singing. I just can't wait for next year when I am a little older and really start to get what it means to open presents. The best is still yet to come. HAPPY CHANNUKAH EVERYONE (AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TOO).
Andrew
